Step 1: Head to the Validator
To claim your NaNo 2.0 winner goodies, you’ll need to use the official NaNo 2.0 Validator.
The validator confirms your final word count and unlocks your winner’s rewards. It gives you that classic “I really did it!” feeling, right in your browser.
A Quick Note About Privacy
We know many of you are rightly cautious about uploading your writing anywhere online. Great news:
- The NaNo 2.0 validator does not store your words.
- Your info and story is never sent to our servers.
- All counting is done locally, and temporarily, in your browser.
It’s fast, safe, and fully private.

But, if you still prefer not to paste your text, no worries—there’s also an “I Won (Skip Count)” button. So you can still claim your goodies.
Step 2: Collect Your Goodies
When you click the button to validate (or skip validating) your words, there is an explosion of confetti. You won! Now scroll down to claim your goodies.
Since we are NaNo 2.0, we had to do everything in twos:
Two Winner’s Certificates
You will receive two 2025 winner certificates, designed by the NaNo 2.0 team. One is a traditional certificate you can print and frame. The other is a more web-friendly certificate you can post on social media. Display both proudly and admire them whenever you need a boost.
Two Winner’s Badges
You will receive two 2025 winner badges. The flag-style badge matches the style of our participation badge. So, you can officially update your status from participant to winner! The second is a circle badge featuring the NaNoWriMo mountain that you just climbed over!
These are perfect for profile icons, blog sidebars, social posts, or simply bragging to your friends that you didn’t just participate, you triumphed.
Step 3: Share Your Win
You won! Don’t be shy; shout your accomplishment from the rooftops! Share your badge, show off your certificate, and celebrate that you turned ideas into words on the page.
